BUGATTI Type 50   Le Mans 1931 n°6

Chassis 50181 - Maurice ROST   &   Achille VARZI

This is the third factory car of 1931. It got completely destroyed when it crashed into a tree and killed a reckless spectator. One of the tires blocked the brake cable at full speed forcing the car to spin around.
The engine is the only part left untouched by the accident, it was later used on chassis n°50112. Its driver, Maurice Rost, was seriously injured in the accident.

  • Scale: 1/8th
  • Theme: Exceptional Cars
  • Serie: Piece unique delivered
The model is entirely made out of aluminium, brass and steel. The engine is completely screwed, which means that it can be totally dismantled. The crankcase and the clutch housing are moulded in aluminium according to a lost-wax casting process. All the other parts are manufactured or assembled through mechanical welding.

Creation entirely designed and made at my workshop in France.
