BUGATTI Type 50   Le Mans 1931 n°5

Chassis 50177 - Guy BOURIAT   &   Albert DIVO

This is the car that took part in four 24h of Le Mans. In 1931, it raced as a factory car before entering as a private car in 1933, 1934 and 1935. Although holding top positions, 50177 retired each time (tires, radiator and gearbox). It still exists today, and it is supposedly somewhere in Spain in a private collection. This is the car we have been working on thanks to Miles Coverdale’s precious help, its owner at that time.

The model is entirely made out of aluminium, brass and steel. The engine is completely screwed, which means that it can be totally dismantled. The crankcase and the clutch housing are moulded in aluminium according to a lost-wax casting process. All the other parts are manufactured or assembled through mechanical welding.

Creation entirely designed and made at my workshop in France.
